What a long day! Today I flew back to Porto Igaucul from Rio. I spent the entire day on the road and got a lot of time to think about my time and Rio and all the things I experienced. I even saw some really cool street art as spent my last day, or my last morning, in Rio.
It was nice. I don’t think that I got a good opportunity to be able to explore it as much as I can because there were so many more people that I wanted to meet. I met this really cool local this morning. We had the conversations about life and dreams.
It was a fascinating experience to be able to share that same space again where you’re from a different country in a different space, but all the same dreams do apply. They really do. In a place like Brazil, it’s not the same as Argentina, but there’s still strife. There’s still struggle for an everyday person to achieve their dreams because it seems so out of their reach. It’s hard to describe it, but that’s the impression I got this morning. I’m just talking to locals.
After I packed up my stuff and checked out, I went to the post office, sent off my postcards, walked around town a little bit, and then found my way to the airport. I needed to fly back to iguacu and cross back.
I only have a few days left in Argentina, and I want to see if I can explore some more tomorrow. I’m back in Foz de Iguacu tonight, and tomorrow I’m going to see if I can go to Argentina again, do that very simple and quick border crossing with the bus, and then we’ll see.
I don’t have much to say, I’m exhausted but wanted to capture this reflective moment.
