I’m going to start off with my trip to Argentina. This trip to Argentina, although not my first long trip, is probably the most influential trip that I have taken. When I look back, I think that that trip really ignited my passion to be a nomad, it was the first trip that I was really all alone on. I didn’t have the kind of support that I did on my other trip to my visit Europe. When I had backpacked or when I was visiting, I had a tour guide I had and itinerary. There was always all sorts of stuff already planned out for me before I got to my destination.  Now, I only know I had work and a red eye flight to Buenos Aires.

So now that I’m in Argentina, I am there all alone. I have decided to take up myself out of my job where I am in New York City, they had an office in Argentina. I jumped on the opportunity to actually go work there wow I had the chance to, so now I’m here eight and a half hours flight, and I am in a colder place. Not only that, but I decided to come in May. Why May? It was the month that I usually go all over the place neighbors the month I went to Europe and other places and I usually take that time of year because it’s the start of summer where it’s warm but not too hot. Unfortunately, Argentina is heading into its cold season at that time, so I landed at 10:00 in the morning had to have pants on had to have a jacket and everything, but it was wonderful looking at those pictures and seeing myself smile it was such a genuine smile.

I have a suitcase, I have my little backpack. I brought my computer with me because when I was working at the company you have a laptop that they give you and this laptop. Likewise, I would bring it to the office every day and other days that I would work from home I would have it home.  I kept it with me in case I needed to work from home at short notice.

If you are familiar with Argentina, you would know the capital of Argentina is Buenos Aires, which is where I flew into. The flight arrived there it was early in the morning, sadly there was some traffic as it seemed to always be so.  It wasn’t easy getting into Buenos Aires Palermo which is the area where I was staying, near the same street, and the office also was in Palermo at least.  When I landed, it took a little while to get to my apartment, to get to my accommodations, but I did it relatively easily. You could use the apps to book your ride and so on and so forth—so it was easy to get an Uber. The apartment’s a little smaller, it had a little patio area. You can tell it was very nicely decorated and purposely. I just settled in for a short while before I was off to lunch with my coworkers because that was the reason I was actually in Argentina to work here for a little while.

So the co-workers and I we went out to this place called “la hormiga” which is the ant, and it was a very wonderful place to have lunch. They took off for my first lunch, and we took pictures we ate an excellent meal and I did a tiny bit of work that day, but it wasn’t a lot. So once I did the work, I found myself back in my apartment. I left there a bit earlier than 5:00 p.m. because I want to take a walk through some streets of Palermo and see what it’s all about. It was really remarkable—actually seeing the street art, seeing the cool sort of architecture. There are a lot of the buildings aren’t very tall, but they have character to them, they have a certain feel I would say to them.  I was really cool, and I didn’t want to go to sleep, but unfortunately I was tired, so I never made it out that night but for my first day in Argentina it was wonderful I had great food figured out how to use the bidet and couldn’t wait to get started on the next day
